HMV's new logo - oooo... swanky!

You might have noticed, you might not have - but HMV have had a rebrand.... it's nothing major... or is it?

Having dropped the capital letters, which could be argued are quite aggressive - but of course when allied to bubblegum pink, they are like a biker in a pair of hot pants.

But having been in business since 1921 you would think it was about time to ditch Nipper the dog and inject some viagra into the logo, and think, with the new design, they have achieved this. The lower case letters, the near stencil like image of Nipper listening to the gramophone and the trademark pink. A excellent, but subtle evolution.

Of course it's arguable whether, when it comes down to it, the branding really matters - but this shuffle has brought with it some great offers available at their website

Take for instance, the following titles:

1. Bourne Identity / Bourne Supremacy: 2 DVD - Now only £10.99 with free delivery!

2. Or 70% off selected boxsets
3. 2 CDs for £10 including Kasabian, Editors, Foo Fighters and Lilly Allen

4. A selection of paramount DVDs from only £3.99 including War of the Worlds, Mission Impossible 3 and Godfather Part 1, 2 and 3!

Remember you can check prices on all of these items right here at cDVDs.co.uk, as whilst HMV might look good with it's new logo, it still has to pay the designers....
